I’ve recently came across this stat on Twitter by CoSchedule: “65% of marketers seldom conduct audience research, however, those who do 466% more succesful” in their efforts. Of course this is my empirical experience as well but I’m still shook by the numbers. Becasue why would you not? Knwoing your taregt audience informs your brand language, your media mix and basically each and every decision you might need to make in order to raise awareness, convince and sell.
But here is one more good reason for you to start thinking about your taregt audience in a more detail oriented and involved way: you will have better marketing staretgy than 65% of businesses out there. You can compete more effectively! You can reach the right people sooner and in a more compelling way.
